Frank "Zeyde" Isakofsky (1892-1963)[1] was Michael Rosen's maternal grandfather. His name means "grandfather" (זיידע zeyde) in Yiddish.
When he was fourteen, he started working in a sweatshop making boys' school caps.[3]
He likely went under the name "Zeyde" during Michael's childhood. Although "Zeyde" was just a nickname because it is a Yiddish word, his birth name is Frank Isakofsky.
